Apple iPhone 5G delayed but iPhone 12 likely to debut in October

There is so much craze about Apple’s devices that consumers keep waiting anxiously the launch of next series of iPhones and iPads.  It has not been a complete year since iPhone 11 was launched by the company. Already fans have become impatient and want to know about the possible launch dates of not just iPhone 12 but also 5G enabled iPhone. According to Jon Prosser, a renowned leaker, Apple has decided to introduce its next series of iPhones and other devices in October this year. There has been no confirmation about this report from iPhone support as yet.

In another related development, Qualcomm has indicated that Apple may not be ready with the launch of its 5G enabled iPhone later this year. Earlier, iPhone 5G was believed to be introduced by Apple in September this year. In its earnings report for the 3^rd Quarter, the largest chip maker of the world did not specify the reason behind this delay in the launch of iPhone 5G. However, the company did cite this delay as a reason for the possible decline in its earnings in the next few quarters.

Qualcomm and Apple have signed a massive $4.5 billion agreement. Under this agreement, Apple has decided to use the 5G modem made by Qualcomm for its 5G enabled devices. However, the plans of the company to launch iPhone 5G have been hampered first because of corona virus pandemic and secondly because the supply chains has been negatively impacted. As iPhones are sold globally, it is natural for Qualcomm to expect a dip in its earnings in the near future without having iPhone 5G support.

Coming back to iPhone 12, Jon Presser seems confident that Apple will launch this flagship model of iPhone and the related models of iPad in October this year. He has tweeted for his fans that they will get iPhone 12 and new models of iPads this October. It is going to be a slight delay if one takes a look at the calendar of Apple where new releases are scheduled for the month of September every year. Along with the much anticipated iPhone 12, Apple is widely rumored to introduce iPad Air with a screen of 10.8 inches this year. Fans are also expecting a slew of iPad Mini model later this year.
