AT&T, the giant telecommunications company of the country, has announced that it will allow consumers to pay their bills through Bitcoin. It becomes the first major mobile and Telecommunications Company to allow payments in a Cryptocurrency. Customers have received AT&T mail , telling them to pay their bills in Bitcoin if they so desire. However, the company will not receive payments directly in Bitocin as a third party service will convert this currency into USD for AT&T. Customers of AT&T will not be able to make their payments in Cryptocurrency if they choose the option of online payment or if they make use of myAT&T app for making payments. Bitpay, the payment processor used by AT&T will recognize the payments made in Bitcoin and it will accept them on behalf of the company.
