Quick and effective AT&T Mail support for you

A few weeks ago, telecommunications giant AT&T announced that it is rebranding its DirecTV Now streaming service as AT&T TV Now. This new service has started to roll out for the consumers from today. AT&T Mail support is informing them that their services would continue to remain uninterrupted if they accept the new offer and the pricing structure.

If you are an existing customer of DirecTV Now, you will find that you are greeted with a welcome message after opening the app. It says new name, same TV freedom. Interestingly, DirecTV Now app is present in the Play Store and iOS app store with its old name. AT&T Mail support informs its customers that the new name of the app will be updated automatically in some time.

For existing customers, nothing much is going to change except that they just need to choose the service provider as AT&T TV Now if they need to log in to their account. Customers who are already logged in are not even required to authenticate this change.

The main objective behind this rebranding exercise of AT&T is to streamline its fledgling streaming services. As the company also has another service in the pipeline called AT&T TV, this rebranding will mean that the company maintains a single app to give a uniform customer experience. However, where things will become confusing for the customers of the company is that AT&T also plans to launch AT&T TV by the end of this year. With both streaming services using the same app of the company on their mobiles, smart TVs and streaming boxes, the content will be different for different customers. It will depend upon which of the two streaming services they have subscribed to.

The latest attempt at rebranding undertaken by the company is a continuation of the strategy it started a few years ago. Under this strategy, the digital phone service offered by the company was rebranded as AT&T Phone while the residential internet service called U-Verse was rebranded as AT&T Internet. It is clear that the company is trying to promote its brand under the umbrella name of AT&T. The use of a single app for its streaming services means consumers will be spared the trouble of downloading two different apps in their smart phones. There is reasoning behind discontinuing with the DirecTV Now. As it has very little to do with satellite TV now, company believes there is no need to pretend it to be a satellite TV service.

One loss to AT&T with this rebranding exercise is of course the fading away of a brand that it had created with so much of effort. From now onwards, subscribers will not see the logo and name of this service whenever they are streaming content on their TVs. This loss becomes significant at a time when AT&T has been losing its customers in huge numbers. Only time will tell if the company will be able to revere the loss of nearly 778000 subscribers on the 2nd quarter of 2019 through its latest streaming service or not.
