Reaching Microsoft - Tech Support - by telephone or something else

Microsoft Office is the most popular productivity suite being used by millions of users in homes and workplaces around the country. There are reports that tech giant Microsoft is now planning to add dedicated Microsoft Office key to the keyboards for customers using this productivity suite on their Windows based computers. This new key will be a new kind of Microsoft Office support for the consumers as it will enable them to make use of shortcuts while using various features of Office.

 Microsoft Office support

This new, proposed dedicated Office key for keyboards is a wonderful idea by Microsoft. It will not only allow users to apply Office shortcuts while working on this productivity suite but also share their documents and files with others quickly and efficiently.

At present, this new Office key is being made available to testers who are giving their feedback to the company on the advantages and shortcomings when working with Microsoft Office. If one takes a look at standard keyboards for Windows computers available in the market, he finds that they have two Windows keys, one on the left hand side and the second on the bottom right hand side of the keyboard. Microsoft proposes to insert the new dedicated key by replacing the secondary Windows key on the right hand side of the keyboard.

Two Windows keys have been there in all Microsoft keyboards for a very long period of 25 years now. These keyboards containing either 104 or 105 keys have always included two Windows keys in them. The company had a policy of not certifying any keyboards meant for use of Windows computers consumers until they contained two dedicated Windows keys. But now, with a desire for enhanced Microsoft Office support for the customers, the company has decided to discard one of these keys and replace it with the new Office key.

This move by Microsoft, if and when it is actually implemented, will prove to be very beneficial for all those people who work on Microsoft Office for a long time periods at home and in offices. Hundreds of millions of users do their work efficiently with the help of a collection of apps under this productivity suite on their computers. Even though Apple and Google have their own productivity suites, none can match the performance and efficiency of Microsoft Office till date.  With the help of this new proposed dedicated Office key, Microsoft aims to keep customers loyal to Microsoft Office so that they are not looking for alternatives available in the market.

The new Office key will be placed next to the Alt key on the keyboard of the new keyboards to be introduced by Microsoft. Even though it is unclear whether this key will launch Office apps or not but the questions that the testers have received from the company do indicate that this key will certainly launch various shortcuts when a user is working on Office apps.

There is no official comment on the proposed Office key from Microsoft yet. It is therefore not clear when this key will be available on Microsoft keyboards for the customers.
