Microsoft Office brings you new protection controls

Microsoft Office is a program that is always associated with productivity and efficiency. It is being used in almost all offices and homes around the country today. It is therefore a little surprising that Microsoft Office support now wants you to work less and enjoy life a little more in a bid to help you achieve a better work life balance. It was Apple that first introduced a program to help users fight their screen addiction. Now Microsoft has taken up the gauntlet through its updates to the platform called My Analytics and a totally new feature for Outlook. While these features are meant to allow you to focus more on your work, they also make you more productive so that you work for less time and hence find more time for your family and loved ones.

MyAnalytics is a tool from Microsoft that makes it possible for employees to keep track of their productivity. Until now, people used this program to measure how many hours they worked after office hours. But now on, MyAnalytics will help you to keep track of how many hours you have managed to unplug after office. For example, you can use it to learn for how many hours you did not check your email in box or for how many hours you did not open an office document to work upon it. The basic idea behind this new feature from Microsoft is to encourage people to focus upon these hours and try and increase their number. In a way, Microsoft Office online support is now encouraging people to work less after office and spend more time with their family members.
If big tech companies like Microsoft and Apple are telling their customers to unwind and relax, there is a reason behind it. There have been large numbers of cases of burnouts and men and women reporting symptoms of anxiety and depression. Obviously people are working more than their bodies and minds can take in a bid to outperform their colleagues.
Frank X Shaw, Microsoft’s Communications Chief, recently said that many customers of the company have said that they spend all day attending important meetings so that they have little time to focus upon important tasks and projects. To overcome this common problem encountered by a large number of its customers, Microsoft has set up a new feature that enables executives to set their focus time every week. There is also a new feature in Microsoft Teams that will send alert messages to your team during times when you are trying to get things going.
People will now be able to use MyAnalytics to know how much time they have spent on meetings or email. It will also tell people how many hours they have been able to unplug after office hours. They will then be able to set goals on increasing the number of hours of leisure for themselves, thereby achieving a better work life balance. However, these new features will only be helpful if the user pays heed to the numbers revealed by MyAnalytics.
