Microsoft Office support for you any time you need it

If you are using Google Docs, you know how difficult it is to make changes to your Microsoft Office files in Docs. But now, editing your Excel sheets or Office files in Docs will be much easier for you. This is because Google has announced that it will extend support to many formats including .doc, .xls, .ppt, and .docx. This is a big relief for all those who found it difficult o make tweaks in their Office, excel, and Power Point documents inside Google Docs. They had to convert their documents into the native format of Google Docs for this purpose.

Microsoft Office support from Google will be a big benefit for the consumers as it will make collaboration much easier. It means that multiple people in the same office or working at different sites would be able to work on the same Microsoft Office files. Google of late has added many features in its online productivity tools for the purpose of improvement in collaboration. These features pertain to Dropbox Business, Google Docs, slides, and sheets.

While this new upgrade in Google Docs will make life easier for those who make use of Microsoft Office, there can be no doubt that Google is posing a big challenge to Microsoft itself in the field of productivity suites. Online MicrosoftOffice support extended by Google is not an act of charity but something that is aimed at snatching a sizeable chunk of customers who have been buying Microsoft’s productivity suites until now.

Until now, Google only allowed users viewing Microsoft Office files while working in Google Docs. It was a challenge for these users to edit Office files as Google asked them to first convert them into any of the native formats allowed in Google Suite.

This new feature will be first rolled out for the users of Google Suite. However, Google has confirmed that this new functionality will be made available to everyone in future. The new update announced by Google will provide
·       Support to word files in various formats such as .doc, .docx, and .dot
·       Support to Excel files in various formats such as .xls, .xlsx, .xlt, and .xlsm
·       Support to PowerPoint files in various formats such as .ppt, .pptx, .pot, and .pps

Writing a blog post, David Thacker, G Suite productivity management Vice President said why Google decided to extend support to Microsoft Office. He wrote that people generally make use of variety of productivity tools to get their work done. If they are using MS Office, they will now find it easy to actively collaborate with others in real time in Google Docs. They can now work on Office file right inside Google Docs without the need to convert them into a native format. This means they will be able to interact with other employees internally or with external clients who are also using Microsoft Office files.

Another new and exciting feature being made available by Google to G Suite users is artificial intelligence based grammar suggestion. This will add to convenience while editing MS office files in Google Docs.
