Android Oreo remains the most popular OS from Google till date

Android Pie may be only a few months old and being used by just 10% of all Android devices around the world but Google has already developed its new version of Android called Android Q. Google has said that it will introduce new features in this latest version of Android at Google I/O, the annual developers conference held at Mountain View, California.

All along the journey of Android, it has been the policy of Google to emphasize on the security of the customer. But this time around, Google has also worked upon features that can be used on a daily basis. Dark Theme is finally coming on the Android platform and it is one feature that will not only enhance battery life but also makes looking at the screen of the mobile at night more comfortable.
One privacy enhancement announced by Google is giving users more control over access to their location to the apps. Given the craze for foldable smartphones, Google is also extending support to such devices in its new Android version. One interesting feature of Android Q will be improved Wi-Fi performance on an app by app basis.
It will have support to 5G
There will be native support for 5G in Android Q. This means all smartphones running on Android Q will give a faster performance and high speed when browsing the net. You will not need to take your smartphone to the manufacturer to make some changes when 5G is finally announced in your country. According to an estimate, nearly 20 carriers will start 5G services in the U.S by the end of this year.
Live Captions
This is a brilliant feature that will add captions to your videos. These captions are made by your device without needing internet. You can get captions for any audio in your device or even web content with the help of this feature.
Smart Reply to predict text you will use
Smart Reply is a new feature coming to Android Q. This feature will be available not just to Messaging app but also to other third party apps in your smartphone. Smart Reply will make it easier for the users by predicting text. It will also predict the next action you are going to take. Imagine knowing the most likely action you will take after reading a message on your smartphone. This is a feature that will make use of artificial intelligence on Google platform.
 Dark Theme
Dark Theme is a much awaited feature on Android platform. According to Google, dark theme will help in enhancing the battery life. For the users, more important than battery life is their increased comfort level when viewing the phone in the dark. You can choose Dark Theme mode but it is not clear whether it will apply only to Google apps or to other third party apps also. It is a coincidence really that dark theme is coming on Android platform at the same time when Apple is introducing it in its next version of iOS.
